Last night I watched Plastic Paradise, a documentary about the Great Pacific garbage patch.

The garbage patch is a collection of man-made debris out in the Pacific. Ocean currents in the North Pacific flow in a clockwise, circular formation, moving marine debris towards the center where it collects. Much of this debris is plastic, which does not ever really “go away.”

This film addresses the impact plastic has on our oceans, as well as wildlife, the food chain and our own bodies. Definitely worth a watch!
